Missed this week's lesson but well, I caught some updates from my group. So we're suppose to design an object based on our choice with what we've learnt. Our group started working on designs that are unique and have brought benefits to people's daily life so we decided to work on shoes, typically on heels.
Wearing heels can be really bad for the leg especially the ankle part as the pressure is being stressed at that area so it can be really damaging, also the heels breaking are problems ladies who wear heels commonly face
My group came up with the current solutions and started to develop from these ideas and problems. The very first thing that came to our mind was fold-able/removable heels. We thought of giving it thicker horizontal base for more support, flat soles and also heels that have base that could follow to the action of the sole when the person is walking. Our conclusion was to improvise such that the heel are made with slightly compressed spring that compress and extend following the person walking action. This will lessen the pressure of the ankle and allows the ankle to rest slightly instead of always being in an ankle. Of course it wouldn't easily affect the height of the person who wears it as that's the motive of the shoes design.
The problem lies with the angle of the ankle so as personal opinion, I thought of lessening the angle of the sole so I thought of adding the front part of the shoe to make the height still exist with a lessen angle.
It would be similar to the creeper shoe but with a slight heel angle so as to make it pretty yet with less pressure. Also it could still keep the designs of heels, which means more of the feet is exposed and the material will be like normal heels.
